The McDowell Mountain Cup series was created in 2017 from the long-standing Pemberton Trail races (50k and 25k) and the shorter Stoneman Trail and Snakebite races. The Pemberton Trail runs kick off the series on the second Saturday in February, followed by Stoneman two weeks later, and Snakebite two weeks after that.
Each race in the series is held in McDowell Mountain Regional Park on fast trails, and the timing makes for a fun challenge in a time of year when trail runners don’t have as many options. These races are low-key, affordable and open to everyone!
Finishers in the inaugural Cup series universally reported that they had a blast. We hope you’ll join us in 2018!
